Register by Jan 31st 2021 for India's largest olympiads, which are now well recognized by universities globally.
It's well accepted that for any student pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) streams in college, having a recognized award from a national or international contests can be a turning point in your application. While most students chase typical contests like AMC, Euclid, IMO and others, our experience with students admitted to Ivy League colleges and other top universities indicates that national level honours are treated almost equally by colleges. The advantage is that they are often more reachable for students and award national ranks just like other contests.
Online Registration & Examination: A First
Many of these national contests require school registration, making them inaccssible to many students in international schools. However, for this year, the olympiads are being held online and are open for anyone to register.
Competition Details
The Science Olympiad Foundation is an educational foundation and a nonprofit organisation, established in 1999, based in New Delhi, India which holds annual contests in Math, Science, Cyberspace and English. Each olympiad consists of 50-60 multiple choice questions, and there are two rounds in the contest. The top three scorers in round 2 are felicitated at a national ceremony and receive cash prizes. Over 2 lakh students across India participate in these contests.
